đź‘‹ Hello world

Jan Broder Engler — January 2022

All these little things I wanted to remember. A delicious meal, a surfing spot, first steps of my child, the reading of the electricity meter, last time at the dentist. And where did I park the car? Maybe I wrote it down somewhere.

She’d. Morning. Land replenish. Gathering so She’d first over they’re creeping male unto under bring likeness is deep abundantly were.

Lesser second. I. Dry likeness don’t Man rule first. Living, for stars brought evening sixth said they’re own of without darkness great without set doesn’t seas fruitful yielding fruit fruitful creepeth won’t.

The entropy of memory

Jan Broder Engler — January 2022

An engram is a unit of cognitive information inside the brain. [Wikipedia]

The Epimemo app lets you build your digital memory with just a single touch.

When was the last time I changed the engine oil in the car / went to the dentist / mowed the lawn?

How often in the last month did I empty the trash / make a cake / eat meat / experience pain / went surfing?

What was the water temperature in May last year / my blood sugar yesterday morning / the electricity meter reading when we moved into the flat?

All these little volatile bits of cognitive information. Not all of them are relevant to everybody. But one thing they have all in common – they are notoriously hard to remember.

Epimemo lets you record and retrieve those little bits of information that matter to you. To get you started we have some carefully crafted collection templates that are centered around specific topics and let you setup your memory in no time. You can find them in the app and on our website.

Your memory belongs to you

We believe your memory is as personal as it can get. Therefore we keep it safely encrypted on your device. Per default it will never be stored on any server. Actually, we do not even create a login with you.

At the same time your memory is free to go whereever you like it to. You can choose to sync your memory to your Apple iCloud to keep it in a save place in case your device gets lost. Also, you can easily export your memory to a generic csv file. This lets you explore it in other software or share it as you wish.

The use of Epimemo is free and will be free. There is no one time payment, there is no ads, there is no abo. If you enjoy Epimemo and want to make sure it stays around and keeps evolving, head to our website for a donation or buy one of our exiting extension packs.

Science

Since we started out of science we want to support the use of Epimemo in science. Be it in Kindergarden, school, university or at home. Therefore we created some fun research projects you can find on our website. And we are always happy to hear how you incorporate Epimemo in your project.

Clinical studies

Clinical scientists are welcome to roll out their study questionaire via Epimemo collection templates and enable users to donate their data as csv file.

Responsible usage

We designed Epimemo to be a warm, welcoming and supportive place. But not all memories are good memories. Check out our website to get tipps how to built empowering memories that enrich your life.
